Since January 1988, the Scheidtweiler family has been looking after the Schmidt Wildlife Park in the Eifel, which has now been in existence for almost 31 years, on their own. They want to preserve a piece of landscape that is typical of the Eifel and therefore very dear to our hearts.

The "Haus Petra" guesthouse is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the rural recreation area of the Vulkaneifel. The perfect location for a beer or two after work, as a stop-off point for hikers and cyclists and also for family or company celebrations.
The local museum in the center of Zemmer contains interesting objects such as basic commodity and curiosities of different eras. All objects were compiled in painstaking work by the local association Fidei. It offers an insight into 'the good old times'.
Heyerberg with chapel The Heyer chapel near Borler is one of the cultural monuments in our region worthy of protection. The name of the chapel goes back to the Lords of Heyer.

The Helenenquelle on the Kyll Cycle Path near Gerolstein Town Hall is a popular resting place for cyclists and hikers. The fresh mineral water comes from a depth of approx. 90 m and can be drunk free of charge from April-October from the brass tap. Here it is worth taking a break and the park is ideal for a small picnic in nature.
