Ponyhof 'Hof Wolfskaul” Landscheid, Franziska Barbara is happy to teach children and young people how to care for and handle ponies!

The actual basilica is the fifth church to have been erected in this place. The first one was built by St Willibrord, after he had received donations by Abbess Irmina of Oeren (near Trier) and Pippin II in the years 698 and 706 (Merovingian church). Soon after his death on 7th November 739 this church was too small, as pilgrims came to his grave in great numbers to worship him as a saint.

The church was completed in 1897 after a short construction period. The church is newly renovated and open during the day.

Visitors come to the ‘natur musée’ because they are interested in natural history and natural sciences in general, or because the issues raised in the permanent and temporary exhibits are exceptional, instructive, sometimes surprisingly uncommon and always deserve the mention. The museum shows in a simple, understandable and exciting way what natural history is: the discovery of Nature’s diversity in connection with a love of science.
