Kelberg

The Old Oak Tree
The large old English oak tree on the Müllenberg has been considered a natural monument since 1940.
Many years ago this oak tree was analysed and is estimated to be 330 years old.
The special oak - pedunculate oak (Quercus robur, The old oak on the top of the "Müllenberg"), shows a very strong branch formation at a trunk height of 3.5 m.

Mosbrucher Weiher

Mosbrucher Pond The Mosbrucher pond is framed by agriculturally used area of the neighbouring communities. In the areas of undisturbed marshland development, the peat thickness is up to 6 metres, on top of which a varied mosaic of different marshland communities can be found.

Schwarzenberg-Kapelle Kelberg

On the 562 m high Schwarzenberg, hidden in the forest, there is a chapel dedicated to the Sorrowful Mother of God. The Schwarzenberg Chapel was built in 1719. The altar with the Pietà in the middle section is framed by the saints Aloysius (right) and Augustine.

Hilgerather Kirche Sankt Hubertush

Hilgerather churchThe parish church Hilgerath, standing alone high on the mountain to the district Neichen, has always been a parish church. The tower dates back to the middle of the 15th century, the main nave exists since 1804 in its present form.
