You’ll wander through the unspoiled nature of the Hohe Venn and across wooden walkways through the StruffeltHeide. Step by step , you’ll leave the hustle and bustle of your everyday life further behind.
Enjoy the freedom to make your own decisions. Take a breather at the Eifel viewpoints along the way. The sweeping views of reservoirs and deep valleys will broaden your own horizons. In places like Perdsley—which today simply offers a breathtaking view of the picturesque Rur Valley—the Eifel tells its stories and sharpens your focus on life’s essentials. You’ll be impressed by the Romans’ ingenuity. It is thanks to them that the residents of Cologne were supplied with fresh spring water from the Eifel for centuries via a kilometer-long, ingenious system. Traces of this canal line your path. It’s fascinating to think of the amazing skills even ancient engineers possessed.
This tour is available year-round. The best time to travel is from April through November. During the winter months, weather conditions may cause some restrictions. Additionally, you should take the shorter days into account when planning your daily hike distances.
Your luggage will be transported from hotel to hotel, so you’ll only need to carry a daypack. You’ll receive a packed lunch for each day of hiking to enjoy during your breaks along the way.

Open todayKornelimünster with its churches worth seeing and old town houses, the former monastery and today's museum offers an excellent ambience for strolling. Important art treasures, the "Historical Fair" in June, the Korneli Octave in September and the Christmas market are reasons to visit the pilgrimage site. The pubs in the romantic alleyways attract walkers and stopovers. Kornelimünster is the starting point of the Eifelsteig long-distance hiking trail, which runs 313 km in 15 stages through the Eifel to Trier.
