Schleiden Castle Church is one of the most important late Gothic hall churches in the northern Eifel and is particularly famous for its König organ from 1770. The castle church was consecrated as a castle chapel in 1230 and replaced by a Gothic church around 1340, the choir of which is still preserved today. Between 1516 and 1525, Dietrich IV von Manderscheid-Schleiden built the three-aisled, late Gothic hall, which has remained unchanged ever since.
