melting point is a retail store in the center of Hillesheim that brings together the diversity of the Vulkaneifel under one roof on approximately 130 m². Directly at the market, in close proximity to the famous crime hotel, carefully selected delicacies meet unique handcrafted items, regional manufactured goods, and lovingly assembled gift ideas. The range includes hand-poured candles, regional honey and fine gin, as well as handcrafted ceramics, natural soaps, wooden products, and textiles featuring the local dialect. Every product is carefully selected and mainly comes from small producers, manufacturers, and craft businesses in the region.
A large part of the store space is dedicated to the initiative "From Here - Vulkaneifel," a network of over 60 regional businesses that was awarded the Future Prize for Home in 2023. At melting point, many products from these producers are bundled and made experiences.
A special service is the custom-made gift baskets filled with regional products, for employee gifts, client presents, company anniversaries, or personal occasions. Reference customers include among others the Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Gerolstein, the city of Hillesheim, and HIGIS GmbH Wiesbaum.
