The Rengen "Drees", located on the outskirts of the village in the fields, was part of the village's customs for many years. The spring water bubbles out of a captured spring - you are welcome to try it.
The Neo-Gothic cross chapel in the district of Schleidweiler was built in 1894. A crossroads with 14 stations of individually designed sandstone arrows leads to the Kreuzkapelle, which is perched above Schleidweiler. Starting in the core area Schleidweiler accompanies the visitor 14 Kreuzwegstationen to the Kreuzkapelle. At the crossroads on the Bergrücken, the visitor is rewarded with a wonderful view over the "Fidei" - from the Meulenwald to the Bitburgerland.

In the middle of the historic center of the small castle town of Blankenheim, not far from the source of the Ahr, lies the quaint Eifel Museum, which is also home to the Tourist Information. Here you can learn interesting facts about the history of the earth and nature of the northwestern Eifel.
The upper forts is the older of the two Manderscheider forts. It was always owned by the Trier until the dissolution of the Electoral State and its destruction by the French (1673). Today, the well-preserved ruin is owned by the town of Manderscheid and is freely accessible.
