Wasserbillig
Under the motto “Sports and fun for everyone—young and old alike,” the Mertert Municipal Sports Commission is organizing a wonderful family day featuring sports activities on Whit Monday, May 17, 2027, at the “Spatz” in Wasserbillig, the lowest point in the country.
Three different races will take place that day: a children’s race of about 400 m, as well as a 5 km and a 10 km race. The races start and finish at the “Spatz,” hence the name LowPointRun.
The main race (10 km) takes runners through the villages of our beautiful municipality. The route starts along the Sauer River to the center of Wasserbillig, then up the Bocksberg through the vineyards to Mertert, where we’ll run through the castle park, past the pond, and along the Moselle promenade back to Wasserbillig.
