Experience "The Eifel from below" all year round, every day! The family-friendly guided tours are especially geared towards children, for whom a visit to the "underground world" is a very special experience! Guided tours through the former lead ore mine are offered three times a day for individual visitors.

They start in the "Grubenhaus", where a small, themed exhibition can also be viewed. A comfortable staircase leads to the "deep tunnel", which is accessible to visitors along with several side tunnels over a distance of around 800 meters. You can discover traces of mining work from the end of the Middle Ages to 19th century mining, when black powder was still used for blasting. Ore was extracted after 1890 using the first electric mine train in the Eifel! There is a lot to learn about the life of the miners and the geological history of the Eifel. A special feature are the drawings on the walls of the "Deep Gallery", which are over 100 years old.

    Wildlife and adventure park Daun

    There is a car trail through the park, which is about 8 km long. The animals can move about freely in the large grounds, and thanks to the platforms provided, where there is an opportunity to exit from the car, they are familiar with having contact with visitors.

    The Simonskall information point is located in the "Junkerhaus Simonskall". This is part of a listed building complex, the Haus des Gastes. In addition to advice, flyers and brochures, you can also visit the free temporary exhibitions.
