Nach der Ernte - Rösser, Trecker, Bäumerücker ...

LVR-Freilichtmuseum Kommern

11:00 AM

Large farmers' market and presentation of harvest-related work.

The major event “After the Harvest” at the LVR Open-Air Museum in Kommern showcases a wide variety of traditional farming and craft activities practiced by our ancestors. In addition to a farmers’ market, dozens of draft horses and draft oxen, along with plenty of vintage tractors and old agricultural equipment, will be in action for a weekend in September.

At the LVR Open-Air Museum in Kommern, history comes alive all year round: chickens roam among the houses and peck at the ground, cattle graze peacefully in the pasture, and the scent of fresh bread wafts from the bakery. Visitors can wander through five different architectural complexes and their buildings. This journey through time in the Rhineland begins at the end of the 15th century and ends in the 20th century.
