Irische Nacht auf Burg Satzvey

Ireland fans have something to look forward to: The unmistakable Irish zest for life will be on display at the medieval Satzvey Castle. With live music and traditional Irish specialties, this summer night will be all about the Emerald Isle.

Three bands will be performing this evening. To the sounds of distinctive instruments such as the tin whistle, bagpipes, accordion, mandolin, banjo, and bodhrán, everyone is sure to get up and dance. Starting at 6 p.m., the duo Tír Saor will play Irish and Scottish folk music on the Gutshof stage, followed by An Spiorad with authentic renditions of traditional Irish-Celtic songs.

The evening reaches its climax with Whizbow, who will invite everyone to dance and sing along to Irish and Scottish songs in the Bourbonensaal starting at 10 p.m. To round out the Irish atmosphere, traditional food and drinks are a must—whether it’s Guinness, Kilkenny, or genuine Jameson whiskey. Teddys Burgbäckerei is offering an exclusive Irish menu for the event, featuring leek soup, scones, and Baileys and Guinness cakes. “Hirsch vom Platze” will be serving pulled lamb burgers from their food truck.
