In Blankenheim's historic town centre, numerous regional vendors offer their culinary products for consumption on site or to take home. The Open Monument Day takes place at the same time. Experience regionality, culinary delights, culture and history all in one day.

Experience a colorful selection of food and drinks from local vendors who present their products with love and passion. Whether savory or sweet, there’s something for every taste!

The booths offer a varied and abundant selection: sweet tartlets, cakes, or gingerbread; savory Döppekoche; Blankenheim fair sausage; a cold Blanq; or a delicious Ahr wine.

In addition to the culinary highlights, a lively program of events awaits you: At 11 a.m., the Blankenheim Community Heritage Award will be presented. Local organizations were invited to submit their ideas on the theme “Preserving tradition, customs, and regional heritage in the community of Blankenheim.”

Following that, Uwe Reetz will perform for the children at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Starting at 2:30 p.m., Schmitzbackes & Co. will parade through the alleys of the historic town center, providing musical entertainment. Culture and music lovers will also find something to enjoy. As part of Open Monument Day, historic sites in the town center will once again be open and waiting for your visit.
