Christmas Market Opens on Friday, November 20, 2026

The Christmas market in Bad Münstereifel opens its doors on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The festive official opening ceremony will take place that same evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Zwentibold Fountain. Mayor Sebastian Glatzel, the board of the city marketing association, and City Outlet Bad Münstereifel will welcome visitors with a festive speech. The opening will be accompanied by festive brass band music.

From November 20 through December 30, 2026, the historic old town of Bad Münstereifel will once again be transformed into an enchanting Christmas wonderland. From the Orchheimer Gate to the Werther Gate, the Christmas market invites you to take a leisurely stroll, enjoy the atmosphere, and linger.
Look forward to festively decorated alleys, atmospheric lighting, and numerous lovingly designed stalls. Whether it’s savory and sweet treats, fragrant mulled wine and punch, or unique gift ideas—there’s something for everyone here. Among the offerings are handcrafted items made of wood and porcelain, decorative items, fragrances, beads, and jewelry, as well as the popular original Printen from Bad Münstereifel.
Young visitors will also have a great time: the children’s carousel spins daily in front of the Zwentibold Fountain. On Advent weekends, a varied program of music and entertainment also creates a festive atmosphere for young and old alike. You can find the complete program on our website.

New in 2026

This year brings several special new features:

• Enjoy it longer: The food and drink stands are open until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
• More Christmas market: For the first time, Marktstraße will be integrated into the Christmas market all the way to the Puma Outlet.
• Curling: A new winter attraction awaits you in front of the Puma Outlet.
• Convenient travel: Bad Münstereifel is once again fully accessible by train (Line S 23) and bus (Line 801). On Fridays and Saturdays, there are also trips after 10 p.m.

During the “LongNight,” the City Outlet invites you to enjoy late-night shopping. The market and stores will be open until 10 p.m. that evening.

The Christmas market is open daily from November 20 through December 30, 2026, except on Remembrance Sunday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Monday through Thursday: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Food stalls on Fridays and Saturdays: until 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Closed: All Souls’ Day, November 22, 2026; Christmas Eve and Christmas, December 24–26, 2026
