Beekeeping Our apiary has been in existence since 2002. With a great deal of passion, we have developed it into a small, certified organic family business in Wittlich. Our approximately 150 bee colonies are spread across the southern Eifel region from the Moselle to the Volcanic Eifel and make an important contribution to the pollination of crops and wild plants and produce valuable products such as honey, propolis and beeswax. We have been managing our bees in a controlled organic way since 2008. For us, organic beekeeping means sustainable, environmentally friendly management, respectful animal husbandry and the highest product quality.

The museum is housed in the former home of the Eifel poet Peter Zirbes. The modest size of the building with its original furnishings is an example of the simple standard of living of the Niederkailer and Landscheider traders.
The parish church St. Markus with the high tower crowned by a curved dome and arcade temple was built by the court architect of Archbishop Johann Hugo von Orsbeck, Ravensteyn, as a three-aisled hall church in simple early baroque forms (1709-1723).
