Kordel - Trier

The last section of the Eifelsteig largely runs through forest, making it ideal for warm, sunny days. This hike also offers a few highlights, such as the impressive valley of the waterfalls at the Butzerbach and - no less striking - the caves in the mighty rock formations in the middle of the forest. A fitting finish to the hike is the passage over the coloured sandstone cliffs above the Moselle River just outside Trier.
