Stage 6

Steinfeld Monastery - Blankenheim

This stage heads through floor plains and wetlands with rare plants and colourful butterflies. However, it is interesting and attractive not just for its landscape, but also for its history. The track heads over a plateau and down into the Urft Valley, past the spring tapping of the Roman aqueduct, and further upstream to the outskirts of Blankenheim.
