Stage 1

Kornelimünster - Roetgen

In the shadow of the Vennbahn.

The first stage is ideal as an orientation, because it starts off gently, without any exertion. A large part of the route runs through the "Tal der Inde" valley. It then heads into the forest and up to the impressive "Struffelt Heide", the highlight of the tour.
To finish off, it follows a route through open, typically fen landscape stretching for miles around Roetgen.
